Paarl

Paarl Mountain (one of the largest solid granite rocks in the world), the Afrikaans Language Monument and a treasure house of architecture found along the 2 km stretch of the Main Street are some of the sights to visit. However, a must to see are the great wine estates like KWV, Nederburg, Simonsvlei, Rhebokskloof, Backsberg and more.

Franschhoek

Franschhoek is well known for its excellent restaurants, renowned wine estates and olive groves like Morgenster, Cabriere, Graham Beck, Boschendal and more, splendid mountains and openhearted hospitality. Spend time browsing its many arts-and-craft shops, galleries and antique stores.

Stellenbosch

Stellenbosch, the oldest town in the country after Cape Town, is undoubtedly one of the most scenic and historically-preserved towns in southern Africa. The town, ideally situated in a magnificent mountain valley, boasts a mild Mediterranean climate and features great estates like Kanonkop, Simonsig, Lanzerac, Vergelegen, Spier and more

Wellington

Wellington is famous for the panoramic Bain's Kloof Pass, Dried Fruit shop, picturesque wine estates like Diemersfontein, Nabygelegen, Siyabonga, Wellington Cellar and other great producers where wine as well as olive tastes are offered and well-known leather factories. Although a fairly small wine region, the scenery is out of this world and should not be missed off any itinerary.

Robertson Valley
Situated in the shadow of the majestic Langeberg mountains with the Breede River as its life blood, Robertson is the western gateway to The Heart of Route 62. With 150 years of history, Robertson has grown into one of the most attractive Cape Wineland towns, with Victorian buildings, jacaranda-lined streets and beautiful gardens. The Robertson valley offers wines from wineries like Weltevrede, Zandvliet, Robertson winery, Langverwacht Cellar, Van Loveren and more.
Constantia Valley
Although not on the routes to the east, the Constantia valley houses some of Cape Town's most expensive properties. Situated at the base of Table Mountain dining and wine tasting in Groot Constantia, Buitenverwachting, Steenberg Vineyards, Klein Constantia and Constantia Uitsig offers not only a beautiful setting, good wines, but is the closest wine region to Cape Town.
Durbanville Valley

A short dive heading north east is the unknown valley of the Durbanville Vineyards. Here you will find wines from Nitida, Hillcrest, De Grendel, Diemersdal and more.
